About Dr. Smith
Dr. Kyle M. Smith is a Diplomate of the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine — the highest standard of credentialing in the field — and a Qualified Dentist recognized by the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine. He has successfully completed all Mastery Courses offered by the AADSM and currently serves as Director-at-Large for the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine.
Dr. Smith works closely with board-certified sleep physicians to ensure patients receive a comprehensive, coordinated approach to their care. He lectures annually at the Collin College Hygiene School on Obstructive Sleep Apnea and Dental Sleep Medicine, bringing the same clarity and commitment to education that he brings to every patient visit.
Known for his warm, approachable manner, Dr. Smith is a careful listener who takes the time to understand each patient's unique anatomy, lifestyle, and preferences — then designs an oral appliance tailored to fit and function specifically for them.
Outside the Office
When he's not caring for patients, Dr. Smith mostly enjoys family time with his beautiful wife Holly and two kids Lydia and Carter, fly fishing the New Mexico or Colorado mountains, picking on guitars with his friends, viewing the night sky as an amateur astronomer with his daughter, or competing in pickleball at Lifetime in Allen with his son.
Dr. Smith's Approach
"My goal is to help my patient's breath better while sleeping to improve their health and quality of life. Sleep apnea is a serious condition, but treatment doesn't always have to be difficult. I work with each patient to find a comfortable and effective solution with oral appliance or laser therapy."
