Oral Appliance Therapy / Mandibular Advancement Devices

Custom-fitted oral appliances that gently reposition your jaw to keep your airway open — no CPAP required.

What Is a Mandibular Advancement Device?

A mandibular advancement device (MAD) is a custom-fitted oral appliance worn during sleep.  The oral appliance will hold the lower jaw (the mandible) in a slightly advanced position, providing a more stable airway, and making it less likely to collapse (sleep apnea) or partially collapse (snoring).

Custom-Fitted for Comfort

Each device is precisely fabricated from dental impressions of your teeth.

FDA-Cleared Treatment

Mandibular advancement devices are FDA-cleared for treating mild to moderate obstructive sleep apnea.

Appliance Styles We Use

Not all mandibular advancement devices are the same. Different designs suit different patients based on anatomy, bite, and severity of sleep apnea. We select the right style for each individual.  These are just some of the general styles we offer.

Brands We Offer

We work with the leading manufacturers in dental sleep medicine to ensure every patient receives a high-quality, FDA-cleared appliance.  These are a few of the companies we work with.

Panthera Dental

Ultra-thin, precision 3D-printed nylon

Panthera's D-SAD is one of the most advanced MADs on the market. Fabricated from a single block of medical-grade nylon using CAD/CAM technology, it is exceptionally thin, strong, and comfortable.

SomnoMed

Clinically proven, globally trusted

SomnoMed's MAS (Mandibular Advancement Splint) is one of the most clinically studied oral appliances in the world. Known for its precision fit, durability, and patient comfort across a wide range of jaw sizes.

ProSomnus

Precision-milled medical-grade polymer

ProSomnus devices are milled from a solid block of medical-grade PMMA, resulting in an extremely accurate fit. Their slim, low-profile design is well-tolerated by patients who have struggled with bulkier appliances.

True Function

Neuromuscular-based jaw positioning

True Function appliances are designed using neuromuscular principles to position the jaw at its optimal physiologic rest position. Particularly beneficial for patients with TMJ concerns or complex bite issues.

Digital Technology

Digital Impressions with the Dexis Imprevo Scanner

No more messy impression material

We use the Dexis Imprevo intraoral scanner to capture precise 3D digital impressions of your teeth — completely eliminating the need for traditional putty impressions. The process is fast, comfortable, and highly accurate.

Digital scans are sent directly to our appliance manufacturers, resulting in a better-fitting device and a smoother experience from start to finish. Patients with a strong gag reflex especially appreciate the difference.
